Who Are We?

Country Arts WA is a dynamic and flexible not-for-profit, membership based organisation focused on supporting arts and cultural development across regional Western Australia.

The role of Country Arts WA is to enable and empower regional Western Australians to develop and enrich their communities through engagement with culture and the arts.

Country Arts WA delivers a range of arts development and performing arts touring programs on behalf of the State and Federal governments. These include funding for arts projects, large and small, support for key regional arts organisations, youth specific projects, and an extensive professional performing arts touring program.

Country Arts WA also provides advice and information to regional artists and community groups and plays a vital role in advocating to the three tiers of government, the business sector and community organisations on behalf of the regional arts sector.

We are a membership-based organisation whose members are primarily country-based practitioners and supporters of the arts. Find out how you can become a Member here

Country Arts WA works across all regions of Western Australia and supports all artforms. With a scope so vast, Country Arts WA identifies a focus region to help target energy and resources.

Our current Focus Region is the Gascoyne (2010 - 2012), in partnership with the Gascoyne Development Commission. Our previous Focus Region was Mid West (2005 - 2009), in partnership with the Mid West Development Commission 

Country Arts WA is a member of Regional Arts Australia , the peak national body promoting the development of the arts for the one in three Australians that live in regional, rural and remote parts of the country.
