What is Annual Funding?
Country Arts WA provides core organisational funding to arts organisations to undertake a year-long program of arts activities across artforms (eg. visual art, circus, theatre, music, etc.) that is inclusive of a broad cross section of the community.
What kind of funding is available?
There are three categories of funding available. The level of funding can increase as organisations evolve and programs of arts activities develop and diversify.
Category A – up to $45,000 annually for a three year contract period for larger arts organisations with a demonstrated track record. Access to Category A funding is restricted.
Category B – up to $10,000 in this category is designed to support the ongoing development of arts organisations that present a year long multi-artform program of arts activities.
Are we eligible?
Applications are open to membership based community groups or not for profit organisations. Individuals and local government are not eligible to apply. Access to Category A and B Annual funding is highly competitive. Speak to a member of the Regional Arts Development Team before starting your application to confirm your eligibility.
What can we apply for?
Category A and B Annual Funding can cover the core operational costs of an organisation and can contribute to things like wages, administration, materials and project costs.
How do we apply?
Category B Annual Funding has one round per year and Category A Annual Funding is offered triennially. You must discuss your application with the Country Arts WA a member of the Regional Arts Development Team before submitting your application at info@countryartswa.asn.au , regional freecall 1800 811 883 or 08 9200 6200.
How is our application assessed?
The Regional Arts Development Manager will check your application and contact you if any further information is required. The Country Arts WA Regional Arts Development Panel will assess your application against the criteria and make a decision about your application at the next Panel meeting after the application closing date. You will be notified by mail about the outcome.
Successful applicants
Successful applicants are required to sign and return a funding contract as well as supply a tax invoice. Successful applicants are obliged to display the logos of the organisations that provide this funding. The logos can be downloaded from the link at the top of the page.
How do we acquit a successful application?
You are required to acquit your grant by completing an Annual Funding acquittal form. An acquittal form will be forwarded to you with your cheque. It can also be downloaded from the link at the top of the page. The acquittal needs to include information regarding the process, the outcomes of the project, the financial results and any relevant documentation.
