This program is continuously open, but applications must be submitted a minimum of 8 weeks in advance of the project start date.

What can we apply for?

You can apply for funding to cover eligible costs of your arts project for young people, such as artist fees, their travel and accommodation, or materials or event promotion.

Are we eligible?

Are you a group of 2 or more young people aged 12 – 26? If so, yes you’re eligible.

Where can I find more information or help to fill out an application?

Before you start your application contact the Country Arts WA's Regional Youth Arts Development Officer to talk through your ideas. We can answer your questions and provide helpful feedback on draft applications before the closing date. It is essential to get in touch with us to talk about your project well before your application is due.

An Application form that includes guidelines can be downloaded from the link at the top of the page.

How is our application assessed?

Your application is assessed by a Panel of two young regional people, active in their own communities in arts and cultural activities.

What else do we need to do?

If your funding request is approved, you will need to sign up to a Drug Aware sponsorship agreement that explains how to promote the providers of the funding as part of your project. You can download the YCulture logos at the top of this page.

You will also need to put together a journal (acquittal), telling us about how your project went. Country Arts WA will send out the YCulture project journal to you when your payment is made. You can also download one at the top of this page. The journal asks for information about what happened and the outcomes of the project, so you will need to document what happens along the way. Photographs of your project at various stages are essential. Journals are required within 4 weeks of completion of the project.
